About these terms
These terms apply when Beaconly (“we”) designs, builds or looks after a website for your business (“you”). We’ll confirm the details of your project, including the price, in writing before any work starts. If anything in that written quote differs from these terms, the quote wins.
Your free mock-up
Every project starts with a free mock-up. There’s no obligation to go ahead, and if you decide not to, you owe us nothing. The mock-up design stays ours until you go ahead and pay.
Prices and quotes
Prices on our website are starting prices. Your exact price depends on what your site needs, and we’ll agree it with you before we start.

Timescales
Most sites are live within 1–2 weeks of you approving the mock-up and sending us what we need, such as your text, photos and any logins. If those take longer to arrive, the launch date moves back too.
Your content
You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, the text, photos and logos you send us. You’re responsible for keeping details such as prices and opening hours accurate, and we’ll update them for you on the care plan.
Your domain
Your domain name is registered in your business’s name, and you own it. We can manage it for you, but it stays yours, including if you stop working with us.
Who owns the website
Once you’ve paid in full, the design and content we made for your site are yours to use. We keep the right to reuse our general code, tools and know-how on other projects. We may show your site in our portfolio unless you ask us not to.
Care plan
The care plan is £25 a month and covers hosting, updates and small changes, such as new prices, photos, opening hours or text. Bigger changes, like new pages or features, are quoted separately.
You can cancel with [ADD NOTICE PERIOD] notice. If you cancel, we’ll help you move your site and domain to another host.
Add-ons
Add-ons such as missed-call text-back or review requests are priced separately. We’ll confirm what’s included and what it costs before we set anything up.
Other services
Your site may link to services run by other companies, such as Fresha, Booksy or Google. We aren’t responsible for their downtime or for changes they make to their own services.
Liability
We’ll do our work with reasonable care and skill. We aren’t liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost business. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
Law
These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts deal with any disputes.
